The song styles that have greatly influenced and inspired me are from decades long past and a bygone era.  A time when sentimentality, romance, humour and sophistication were qualities and prerequisites for popular song creation.  Alas, in today's songwriting, most, if not all these qualities in some way have been forgotten over the years, vanishing to near obscurity.

 

However, song standards of this ilk are still deeply loved and appreciated all around the globe, by many of

all ages and generations. Consequently those song styles still very much have a place in this world.

 

It is my humble ambition and quest to help keep alive and on the map, this writing tradition.
